Lee Chapel Theatre Opens!

Last night finally saw the opening of the Lee Chapel Theatre.

The first show performed was the famous “Scottish Play” Macbeth excellently interpreted by our fabulous Year 5 & 6 Drama club.  Mr Hullyer and Mr Seidu have been working tirelessly with these talented children to launch our theatre with style and they did not let us down!

Their superb performances earned them a well-deserved standing ovation – three times over.  But this is only the beginning, with more shows planned and the schedule for the next school year already brimming with quality.

There was not one person in the room who was not impressed with the architecture and finish of the building, with everyone talking about the wrapping in the reception area, the welcoming layout and the “West End” atmosphere – choc ices anyone! 

All in all, we are so proud of our theatre and we are looking forward to everyone taking part in performing arts lessons next year, where hopefully we will see improvements in the children's speaking and listening skills.
