Black History Month - Oct 2021

October saw everyone at Lee Chapel, celebrating our differences, whilst learning more about how events in history have shaped attitudes and made changes in the way society views others. The children have had a fabulous time, looking at different texts and learning more about significant people, such as Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela.

The learning extended across the curriculum, using graphs to represent the numbers of people moved during Windrush, the involvement of troops from other countries in the allied fighting in WWII and using a plethora of songs from all countries in Music lessons.
