Year 3 Ancient Greek Topic Launch

Year 3 had an amazing day immersed in a range of activities as part of their Ancient Greek Topic Launch Day!  The children learned some key facts about the Ancient Greeks, before working in teams to create a timeline of key events. They were then invited to take part in an interactive workshop, where they learned what life was like in the Ancient Greek civilisation.  As part of the workshop, the children has to use their bodies to create the Parthenon, which the children were shocked to discover is still standing today! . The children were surprised to learn about all the things that the Greeks created like maths, storytelling, sports, Olympics and democracy. The day finished with some engaging Greek Myth storytelling by Mr Cook. What a fantastic start to Year 3 topic!
